FacebookAs you know from our 2011 WOTC Coalition updates, all WOTC target groups, except the veteran categories, expired on 12/31/2011. During such times we adopt a "business as usual" position in order to protect future credits, while continuing to work with Senator Max Baucus, Congressman Denny Rehberg and other members of Congress through the Coalition, to retroactively extend the expired target groups and simplify the certification process for the WOTC Program.
Senator Baucus is a long-standing supporter of WOTC and other extenders, and all continuing contacts with him are most helpful. The Coalition stresses the importance that Senator Baucus hear from other senators expressing their support and desire to enact the extenders in the conference report. This means both U.S. senators from every state are top priorities. Written and oral contacts to these senators, strongly urging them to get in touch with Senator Baucus (for Democrats) or Senator Hatch (for Republicans) to support passage of WOTC extension in the conference agreement on H.R. 3630 is the WOTC Coalition's recommended action, as Senate reconveins on January 23, 2012.
